An Exploration of the Effects of Community Arts on Street-involved Adults
Professor Shannon Blake and her research team from the School of English Liberal Studies, including Dr. Belinda Huang and Dr. Anna Ainsworth, and student research assistants, are working with Sanctuary Toronto to observe arts activities designed for street-involved adults. The researchers will investigate the motivation to participate, expected gains, and whether these gains were achieved. At completion, Sanctuary Toronto will have a more precise understanding of the reported effect of their arts program on street-involved adults, enabling them to make informed decisions as they shape programming direction.
