Iryna is graduating with high honours from the Esthetics and Spa Therapies advanced diploma program. Iryna moved to Canada almost five years ago from Ukraine, where she worked as a gynecologist for 16 years. After arriving in Canada, Iryna decided to study at Seneca to pursue a new career as a medical esthetician.
During her time as a student, Iryna was added to the President’s Honour list four semesters in a row, and was the recipient of the Sheila Spears Award, the Hyatt Family Foundation Award, and a Seneca Leadership Award. Iryna currently works as an advanced spa therapist at Sanctuary Day Spas in Vaughan and plans to take the Comité International d’Esthétique et de Cosmétologie beauty therapy exam this summer.
The Governor General’s Academic Award is given to a student who achieves the highest academic standing in his or her final year of a full-time postsecondary diploma program.
