Subject Title
Vocational Training

Subject Description
Students introduced to potential employment opportunities for individuals with ASD. Skill assessment and job skills training discussed with an emphasis on successful models. Community programs, services and support systems be presented.

Credit Status
One credit toward Working with Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder Recognition of Achievement Certificate Adolescence and Adults Stream.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

1. Identify potential employment opportunities for adolescents/adults with ASD

2. Discuss skills assessment and job skill training

3. Provide support systems, services, available in the community

4. Discuss successful models
