Applied Research Paper

Subject Description
This course will focus on the successful completion of an applied research project. Students' research will be conducted under the supervision of faculty. Students will collect and evaluate data to make recommendations and draw conclusions on the basis of the analysis of the research findings. Students will be required to present their findings to representatives in the field.

Credit Status
BCD806 is a required subject in the Honours Bachelor of Child Development degree.

  1. Adhere to ethical protocols in the collection of data that supports the investigation of a research question.
  2. Analyze data using methods consistent with the research question.
  3. Interpret research findings to formulate conclusions and recommendations.
  4. Engage in reflective practice by providing, receiving, and responding to constructive feedback.
  5. Describe the research process, findings, and conclusions to support the dissemination to a variety of audiences.
  6. Translate the research findings and conclusions into visual representations and text-based narrative for dissemination to a variety of audiences.
