Wedding Bouquet Workshop

Subject Description
Discover the principles involved in creating beautiful wedding designs, including a fine assortment of corsages and boutonnieres. In the first of a three-part series devoted to personal wedding flowers, learn wiring, taping and assembly techniques necessary to create well balanced, professionally designed wedding bouquets.

Credit Status
Non Credit - One component of the Creative Wedding Floral Design R.O.A.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

1. Demonstrate wiring, taping and assembly techniques to create well-balanced, professionally designed corsages and boutonnieres.

2. Design and create round, crescent and cascading bouquets in a bouquet holder.

3. Demonstrate wiring, taping and assembly techniques to create well-balanced, professionally designed wedding bouquets.

Topic Outline
- The boutonniere and corsage
- The wrist corsage and hairpiece and wreaths
- The constructing of a glamellias
- Creating a hand tied bouquet, wired and taped
- Round and crescent style bouquets

Mode of Instruction
Lecture, demonstration, individual instruction and assessment, faculty and peer critique.
