Subject Title
Design, Teaching and Learning

Subject Description
This module provides participant with the knowledge and skills to design and implement teaching and learning activities. The content builds directly on the principles of adult education and the implications for adult learning activities. The approach of the module is highly experiential.

Credit Status
This subject is a credit towards the Excellence in Educating Adults Recognition of Achievement program.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

1. Select and implement a variety of teaching/learning methodologies that facilitates participation and the transfer of learning to achieve learning outcomes of a subject.

2. Establish a positive learner centered environment which assures open communication, positive interactions, mutual respect, active participation, and transfer of learning.

3. Use effective questions and probes to support and stimulate learning.

4. Apply interactive learning experiences.

5. Present overheads, slides and other visual aids that are attractive, promote learning and adhere to the principles of effective visuals.
