Subject Title
Timed Typing Speed Assessment

Subject Description
Students have the opportunity to formalize their keyboarding speed requirements for their certificate/diploma within this 3 hour session. Those students who require additional practice and improvement in typing proficiency may wish to consider enroll in subject KIP010 - Basic Keyboarding and Speed Proficiency.

Non-Credit

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

Obtain required net words per minute keyboarding speed on three 5-
minute timings (maximum 6 errors) to meet specific certificate/diploma requirements.

Mode of Instruction
In this workshop, the instructor will guide students through various timed typing assessments to work on typing speeds. Students will each have access to a computer in the lab.

Instructor will provide materials in the class for typing practice.
