Getting Ready for Day 1

To help you prepare for the start of classes, here’s an overview of what to expect between now and day 1.

Fees Deposit Deadline – Once you’ve confirmed your offer, you’ll receive fees information and be given a deadline to pay the $500 non-refundable tuition deposit. Remember to pay your deposit by the deadline to guarantee your place in your program.

Tuition Deadline – Your full tuition and fees for each semester are due on the first day of classes for the semester. For details on your fees and how to pay, visit Fees & Program Costs.

Residence – We have residences at our Newnham and King Campus. If you’re interested in living on-campus, you should apply for a spot in residence as soon as possible after you confirm your offer of admission. Find out more at

Seneca Online Services – If you haven’t already done so, now’s a good time to set up your Seneca email and learn how to access our online services. To set up your password, PIN and security questions, visit the MyID Password Service. You’ll need your student ID number. There are links to instructional videos if you need help.

Timetables – You’ll be able to view your timetable online a few weeks before classes start. We’ll send you details on how to access your timetable by email. Note that your fees deposit must be received by Seneca before you can view your class schedule.

Skills Assessment – As a new student in a diploma or certificate program, you may need to complete a Skills Assessment to ensure that you’re placed into the right English and/or math courses. If a Skills Assessment is required, you’ll receive information before your program begins.

OneCard – You’ll be able to get your Seneca OneCard – the official Seneca ID – the month before you start at Seneca. The OneCard is a chip-enabled convenience card that you can use on-campus to pay for food, parking, books and many services.

Orientation – During the first two weeks of classes, there will be scheduled orientation activities to help you make the most of your Seneca experience. You’ll receive an evite with details a few weeks before orientation.
