Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto

Who We Are: For almost 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto has been well known and respected for the important services we provide to children and youth in our community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto is a non-profit organization that provides mentors to children and youth in need of additional positive adult support.

A Big Brother or Big Sister is a friend to a child or youth. They are somebody who will listen to them, be a friend and share their time and hearts.

What We Do: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto matches adults over the age of 18 to children between the ages of 6 and 18 in a one-to-one or group mentoring relationship that is fun and rewarding for both.
We also provide youth over the age of 16 an opportunity to be a Big Brother or Big Sister to a child through our School-Based Co-op Program.

Community MicroSkills Development Centre

Community MicroSkills Development Centre is a non-profit organization that has served communities in Toronto and surrounding areas since 1984. We provide settlement, employment, and self-employment services to individuals, with priority to the needs of immigrants, youth, visible minority people, and low-income women.

COSTI provides educational, social, and employment services to help all immigrants in the Toronto area attain self-sufficiency in Canadian society.

During this bold cycling journey, riders will bicycle over 200K from Toronto to Niagara Falls! The Ride is an epic journey to help The Princess Margaret reach its goal towards a cancer-free future.

Habitat for Humanity Toronto

Habitat for Humanity Toronto is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing organization dedicated to the belief that shelter is a basic human right and need. Our mission is to help eliminate poverty housing by building simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with working low-income families, volunteers and donors. One hundred percent of all of Habitat Toronto’s administrative and fundraising costs are paid for by the operation of three retail outlets, Toronto ReStores. Habitat ReStores sell quality new and gently-used donated building materials.

  Street Haven at the Crossroads

Street Haven was founded in 1965 by a nurse from St. Michael's Hospital as a drop-in for homeeless women. Now, 45 years later, Street Haven is a multi-faceted agency with an Emergency Shelter, Supportive Housing, Addiction Services and a Learning Centre. We serve approximately 750 homeless women per year.

The Cross-Cultural Community Services Association

The mission of TCCSA is to assist newcomers in adapting to Canadian life in their neighborhood and to provide support to Canadians in building a stronger community. The three main programs and services of TCCSA are settlement, education and community and youth services.

TransCare Community Support Services (formerly called Scarborough Support Services) has been serving seniors and adults with disability within the Scarborough area for more than 30 Years. Our current services include: Community Dining, Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visiting/Telephone Reassurance, Home Making, Supportive Housing, CIA, Adult Day Program, Home First, Home at Last, Home Care Supplies.   VHA Home Health Care

VHA Home HealthCare is a not-for-profit organization - provides compassionate 24/7 health care and support services to people of all ages and cultural backgrounds in their own home or wherever support is needed.

Our in-home services benefit the whole family. We offer: newborn assistance for multiple births or first time parents, in-home and school support for children with acute or chronic medical conditions and crisis support for families lacking outside help.

Become a Mentor / Volunteer with Welcoming Communities for TDSB Youth. Your help is needed for one-on-one Mentoring, Homework Club Tutoring, English Conversation and much more! Volunteer opportunities are available across the GTA.

Malvern Family Resource Centre

Malvern Family Resource Centre is located in the heart of Malvern, across the Malvern Town Centre. For almost 27 years, or agency has been serving families in Scarborough Rouge River by providing programs and services for the community. Our centre is made up of six departments; Early Years, Family Centre, Seniors, Women’s Place, Middle years and Youth. We play an important role by providing volunteer opportunities to community members for all ages seeking to gain experience.
