Registered students who are Canadian citizens, protected persons or have permanent resident status may apply for financial assistance through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
You should apply for financial assistance as soon as you have confirmed acceptance to a program. Please note that it take 4 - 6 weeks to process an OSAP application after a student has applied for OSAP and has handed in the OSAP signature pages and all required supporting documentation. This means if you want to have your OSAP loan certificate available to pick up at the start of the semester you must apply and submit your signature pages and supporting documents 6 weeks before the start of your semester. Visit OSAP to apply.
Check the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities website for updates on changes to the Student Assistance program.
