Background

On March 6, 2015, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne released It’s Never Okay: An Action Plan to Stop Sexual Violence and Harassment. Several initiatives in the Action Plan are intended to help make postsecondary campuses safer and more responsive to complaints about sexual violence and harassment.

The Premier has stated that “Our action plan is a roadmap to taking action to end sexual violence and harassment in Ontario — through raising public awareness, helping survivors, and strengthening laws to protect workplaces and campuses. By working together, we can help make sure everyone in Ontario can live free from violence or harassment.”
