Seneca's Centre for Financial Services strives to be the premier source for the delivery of practical, professional development, applied research and educational solutions in financial services. The Centre works with key allied partners to anticipate industry direction and fulfill changing needs.
The Centre's faculty is committed to providing leading-edge, cost effective and customized education, as well as professional development programs to assist firms to continually train and develop their employees.
In September 2002, Seneca became the first college in Ontario to offer a degree program when classes begin for its Bachelor of Applied Business - Financial Services Management program. This program, along with the Municipal and Corporate Administration applied business degree are administered through the Centre for Financial Services, along with various graduate, certificate and professional development programs.
The Centre delivers a pool of well-educated, highly trained graduates and co-op students; curricula and training integrated with the newest technology; highly trained financial services educators and instructors; and top facilities and resources for collaborative applied research. Teaching fellowship opportunities are available through the Centre, along with client contact centre laboratories for employee training.
Working with the Office of Resource Development, the Centre for Financial Services is seeking $5 million in private sector support for student financial assistance, capital and technology infrastructure, applied research, faculty development and renewal.
