Accessibility and Accommodation Plan

Seneca is committed to expanding its access and support to all students and employees with disabilities, by having as its goal a barrier-free learning and working environment to enable academic and employment success. Its goal is to make Seneca barrier-free by 2025 by being proactive in having our services, policies and procedures, including Seneca services and facilities more accessible to the needs of people with disabilities.

AODA integrated accessibility standards regulation

This document is intended to meet the Seneca’s requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standards, Ontario Regulation 191/11 set forth under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. The policy applies to accessible services and supports to persons with disabilities. The Office of the Executive Director, Human Resources, will be responsible for the administration and communication of this policy.

AODA Seneca-wide Advisory Committee

Goal: The AODA Advisory Committee is a Seneca-wide collaboration representing key stakeholders across Seneca. The Seneca-wide advisory committee acts as a central voice and lead on implementing recommendations put forth by the accessibility sub-committees in terms of planning, prioritizing and use of fiscal funds to meet Seneca's AODA Accessibility Standards. The advisory committee is comprised of stakeholders from across Seneca to provide a foundation for informed and knowledgeable consultation in meeting its objectives and to increase compliance with the integrated accessibility standards.

The policy shall apply to every employee, staff, student and visitor at Seneca.
