Getting Ready for Day 1

To help you prepare for the start of classes, here’s an overview of what to expect between now and Day 1.

Fees Deposit Deadline

After you confirm your offer, you will receive your fees information and be given a deadline to pay the $500 non-refundable tuition deposit. Remember to pay your deposit by the deadline to guarantee your seat in your program. You can find details on how to pay under the Payments tab on the Fees and Payments page.

Tuition Deadline

Your full tuition and fees for each semester are due on the first day of classes for the semester. For details on your tuition fees, book and supply costs and how to pay, visit Fees and Payments.

At Seneca, we have residences at our Newnham and King campuses. If you are interested in living on campus, we recommend you apply for a spot in residence as soon as possible after you confirm your offer of admission. Find out more about Seneca’s residences.

Seneca Online Services

It is recommended that you set up your Seneca email and learn how to access our online services. To set up your password, PIN and security questions, visit the MyID Password Service.

You will be able to view your timetable online, a few weeks before classes start. We will send you details on how to access your timetable by email. Note that we must receive your fees deposit before you can view your class schedule. To view your timetable, visit the Student Centre.

Skills Assessment

As a new student in a diploma or certificate program, you may need to complete a Skills Assessment to ensure you are placed in the right math class. If a Skills Assessment is required, you will receive information before your program begins. For more details, visit Skills Assessment.

Note: For students starting classes in May 2019, the Skills Assessment tool covers English and/or Math.

You will be able to obtain your Seneca OneCard a month before you start at Seneca. The OneCard is a chip-enabled convenience card that you can use on-campus to pay for food, parking, books and many services. Visit the OneCard page.

During the first two weeks of classes, there will be scheduled orientation activities to help you make the most of your Seneca experience. A few weeks before orientation, you will receive an e-vite with details of the orientation. Visit the Orientation page for details.
