The CompTIA Security+ ® Certification is a vendor-neutral information security certification that confirms to companies that you have solid foundational knowledge in the areas of general security concepts, security infrastructure and operations, cryptography and communication security.
Seneca's Information System Security Course - SEC700 - helps prepare you for this computer based test. Networking knowledge/experience is recommended to enter this course.

DCN286 or broad knowledge of networking
This course focuses on security in the areas of enterprise infrastructure and operations, cryptography, telecommunications and applications. Students learn how to identify security risks, protect organization's systems and data by deploying firewalls, data encryption and other countermeasures, and how to protect users from hostile applications. The course content maps to the CompTIA Security+® certification objectives and is intended to help prepare students to write the exam.
