Overview

Learn to use Microsoft's relational database software, Access, to create tables, queries, forms and reports. Take your learning one step higher with Access Programming using VBA. We offer 1 day workshops (MCW) or evening/weekend (MCT) courses that are sure to fit your schedule and preferred learning style.

This course introduces participants to relational database concepts using Access. Design and create a database with Access tables and set field properties to customize your database. Work with queries to select data and create forms and reports to aid in data entry and professional printouts.

This course introduces students to relational database concepts. Topics covered include creating a database; adding, displaying and editing records; data queries; sorting and indexing files and creating forms and reports.

MCT207 or Equivalent Experience

Expand your basic knowledge of Microsoft Access. Topics include advanced commands to work with forms, reports and tables, manipulating queries as well as using subforms or subreports.

Prerequisite(s):

MCT208 or equivalent experience.

Students explore application development using Macros and Visual Basic in Microsoft Access. Topics include Macro versus Module, debugging and error handling plus event-driven programming for applications. A strong understanding of Access is essential.
