In this introductory level course you will learn the basics of how to use HTML and web standards to create modern web pages. This foundational course will form the basis for an understanding of web technologies, and enable you to build simple websites by hand.
Expand on your knowledge of websites by creating interactive forms and tables. Further exploration into cascading style sheets will enable you to format the contents of a website with ease and flexibility. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) discussions will help to get your site found!
Learn advanced HTML markup and push the boundaries of cascading style sheets (CSS). This course focuses on advanced text formatting and basic layout with CSS. Attention will be paid to positioning, the box model, and creating customizable and reusable styles to enhance your web site.

This course is intended to teach expert level professional cascading style sheets (CSS) techniques. Topics include complex layout, CSS driven menus, conditional stylesheets, stylesheets documentation and efficiency/speed considerations. Particular focus will be spent on complex layout considerations and techniques; including the box mode, floats, clears and browser inconsistencies.

Students are introduced to the Dreamweaver interface. Students use Dreamweaver to write XHTML, work with Dynamic HTML (DHTML), format text and create links. Images, tables, frames, forms and site management issues are also covered.

Students further their knowledge of PHP and develop enterprise-wide web enabled applications using PHP and MYSQL. Security issues are addressed throughout the course.
This course introduces the student to computer programming using the JavaScript programming language. While JavaScript is the language of instruction, the course covers the essential concepts and constructs which are part of most modern programming languages, including sequence, selection, repetition, variables, arrays, and objects. This course leads the student from writing the simplest of programs to creating programs that interact with the elements in a web page. Using only a simple text processor and a browser, the student will write and run programs that utilize variables, calculations, arrays, if statements, loops, objects, and events. In addition to writing programs, the student will also be instructed in the elements of good programming style and their importance.
