Overview

Enhance your digital product, user experience or content design knowledge with two courses in user experience (UX) writing – UX Writing Fundamentals and UX Writing in Practice. Enrol in one or both courses to earn a microcredential and explore the world of digital product design.

In these courses, you'll learn how to enhance and improve digital product experiences through words. Clear, concise and useful copy supports and shapes the user experience and helps users achieve their goals.

This microcredential is for those who have an interest in or are working in digital product design. Knowledge of user experience design, writing (marketing, branding or technical) or content strategy/design is helpful but not necessary for completion of the microcredential.

User Experience (UX) Writers help enhance and improve digital product experiences through words. This microcredential outlines the fundamentals of writing for user experiences by addressing the role and responsibilities of the UX writer within product design. It covers the processes and practices that enable UX writers to craft an engaging experience through words.

Upon successful completion of this microcredential, students are equipped to craft clear, concise and useful microcopy - identifying user interface patterns, applying best practices and using appropriate tone and voice.

In this microcredential, you'll develop your User Experience (UX) writing toolkit and demonstrate the role each piece plays in writing accessible, accurate, inclusive and compelling content across a complex product experience. You will explore how a UX writer works within standards, incorporates user insights into their process, meets requirements and presents their work.

Upon successful completion of this microcredential, you will be equipped to craft and present clear, inclusive and compelling copy for a digital product flow - adhering to guidelines, utilizing user insights, and meeting business and user goals.
