This three-course Recognition of Achievement program is designed to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills towards Obtaining Oracle Certification in database Administration. As part of the Oracle Workfource Development Program these courses help prepare students to pursue Oracle DBA certification.
In addition, students may wish to write the corresponding Oracle Database 12C Administrator Certified Associate (OCA) and Oracle Database 12 C Administrator Certified Professional (OCP exams). To obtain the OCA and OCP Certification:

Learn the concepts of relational databases and the essential SQL skills to write queries against single and multiple tables, manipulate data in tables, create database objects and control privileges at the object and system level. This course will help you prepare for the Oracle Exam IZO-061
Students gain a conceptual understanding of Oracle database architecture and how its components work and interact with one another. Topics include database creation, performance monitoring, database security, user management and backup/recovery techniques. This course will help prepare you for Oracle exam IZO-062.
Students learn how to perform backup and recovery based on the related Oracle Database architecture components. Various backup, failure, restore, and recovery scenarios are provided so that students learn to evaluate their own recovery requirements and develop an appropriate strategy for backup and recovery procedures. This course will help prepare you for Oracle Exam IZO-063.
Students who attend 70% of scheduled classes receive a confirmation of attendance at the end of each course.
Upon successful completion of the program requirements, please submit a Request for Recognition of Achievement Form to the Faculty of Continuing Education and Training. There is no cost for this and your Recognition of Achievement will be sent to you electronically.
