Stephanie Grunhut has been selected as a valedictorian for Seneca College’s convocation taking place on Wednesday, June 15 at 2 p.m. at the King Campus (13390 Dufferin Street, King City).

Before enrolling in Seneca College’s Recreation and Leisure Services diploma program, Stephanie worked in the entertainment and retail industries for 14 years. She had looked at Seneca’s program off-and-on for years, but finally felt she wanted to change her career path. Recreation and Leisure was a logical fit for her, as it combined her skills and experience in customer service with her interest in recreation.

Once in the program, she became a student athlete on the Varsity Women's Fastball Team and got involved with the Student Athletic Association - ultimately assumed the role of President of the Association.

Stephanie will receive the prestigious College award – the Seneca Cup during her convocation. This award acknowledges academic proficiency and contributions made toward improving the quality of student life at the College.

The 35-year-old is hoping to pursue her career in the recreation and leisure office of a town or in a college athletics department.
