Valedictorian Alireza Tehrani-Moein

Alireza is graduating from the Professional Accounting Practice graduate certificate program with honours. Alireza moved to Canada after working as a dentist in Iran for 10 years. Soon after being accepted into a University of Toronto program to allow him to practise dentistry here in Canada, a devastating accident left him paraplegic. Forced to reconsider his chosen career and his family’s future, Alireza made the dramatic shift from dentistry to business. After completing Seneca’s General Business diploma program with high honours and becoming fluent in English, he decided to specialize in accounting by moving on to Seneca’s eight-month Professional Accounting Practice graduate certificate program. Alireza’s enthusiasm and determination was an inspiration to his professors and fellow students. He is now graduating with honours and is on the President’s Honour List for the third time. Alireza is currently taking part-time courses and is well on his way to obtaining his professional accounting designation.
