Marato Gebremichael

Marato is graduating from the Electronics Engineering Technology diploma program. Growing up, Marato always had a passion for electronics and often tried to fix broken devices in his family home. As he grew older, Marato took an interest in the communications aspects of electronics. After taking a campus tour and visiting the state-of-the-art labs, Marato knew Seneca was the ideal place for him. Marato quickly established himself as a strong team player who excelled in student leadership roles. He volunteered for Seneca’s SMILE program, mentoring first-year students. Marato thrived academically, earning a 4.0 GPA over his four years at Seneca. Marato’s commitment to gaining professional experience helped him to earn three consecutive co-op work terms with electronics manufacturer Celestica. Marato is looking forward to translating the skills he acquired at Seneca into a fulfilling career where he can make a difference in his community.
