Jessica Cook Liberal Arts
“Without the Liberal Arts program at Seneca College, I would not have had the solid foundation to transition into postsecondary school and accomplish all that I have. The program gives you the tools you need to be successful in the university atmosphere.”
A high school guidance counselor told Jessica that she wouldn’t be able to get to university. That’s what motivated her to want to do it. Without the grades and credits needed for university, she enrolled in Seneca’s Liberal Arts program, which provides direct pathways to university through agreements with York University and the University of Toronto. After completing the Liberal Arts program, Jessica entered directly into her third year at York University. She is now a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the University of Toronto, a remarkable achievement for someone who was once told she wouldn’t earn a degree.
