Algoma University will offer transfer credits for all Seneca graduates from either a 1-year certificate program or a 2- or 3-year diploma program depending on college GPA and the degree of affinity/relation between the diploma and degree programs. Seneca graduates of 3-year diploma programs with a GPA from 2.5 to 2.99 may be eligible for up to 30 credits and graduates with a GPA of 3.0 to 4.0 are eligible for up to 60 credits towards a related 90 credit 3-year degree or a 120-credit 4-year degree in a related degree.

Seneca graduates of 2-year diploma programs with a GPA from 2.5 to 2.99 may be eligible for up to 15 credits and graduates with a GPA of 3.0 to 4.0 are eligible for up to 45 credits towards a related 90-credit 3-year degree or a 120-credit 4-year degree in a related degree.

Seneca graduates of 1-year certificate programs with a GPA above 3.0 are eligible for up to 15 credits (1 semester) towards a 90-credit 3-year Bachelor of Arts degree or a 120-credit 4-year Bachelor of Arts degree.


Seneca Program: Social Service Worker

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, Bachelor of Arts in Community, Economic and Social Development

Graduates of this diploma program may be eligible for 54 credits towards the 90-credit 3-year Community Development, 90-credit 3-year CESD or the 120-credit 4-year CESD degree program. Students must graduate with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.


Seneca Program: Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, Bachelor of Arts in Community, Economic and Social Development

Graduates of this diploma program may be eligible for 57 credits towards the 90-credit 3-year Community Development or the 120-credit 4-year CESD degree program. Students must graduate with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
