General Policy

Graduates with a minimum cumulative 65% (C+) average will be considered for admission to Trent University. Transfer credit may be awarded for academic courses; assessment is based upon grades and course content. Seneca Program: Arts & Science – University Transfer

Degree: Bachelor of Science (Honours) or Bachelor of Arts (Honours)

Graduates of Seneca’s two-year Arts and Science – University Transfer diploma with a minimum average of 70%/3.0 GPA will be granted 7.5 credits towards a four-year Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree or a four-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with multiple major opportunities at Trent University. Students planning on enrolling in the pathway must take a minimum of 0.5 credits, to a maximum of one credit at Trent University while continuing their studies at Seneca. Seneca Program: Computer Programming & Analysis

Degree: Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science

Graduates of this three-year diploma program who have an academic average of 75% (B+) or higher are eligible to transfer to the third year of Trent University’s four-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Seneca Program: Liberal Arts University Transfer

Degree: Bachelor of Arts (Honours)

Graduates of Seneca’s two-year Liberal Arts diploma with a minimum average of 70%/3.0 GPA will be granted 7.5 credits towards a four-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with multiple major opportunities at Trent University. Students planning on enrolling in the pathway must take a minimum of 0.5 credits, to a maximum of one credit at Trent University while continuing their studies at Seneca. Seneca Program: Police Foundations

Degree: Bachelor of Science (Honours), Forensic Science or Bachelor of Arts (Honours) or Bachelor of Science (Honours), joint Major in Forensic Science

Graduates of the two-year Police Foundations diploma program who have an academic average of 75% (B+) or higher are eligible to transfer to the second year of Trent University’s four-year Bachelor of Science, Forensic Science or Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, joint Major in Forensic Science. Seneca Program: Social Service Worker

Degree: Bachelor of Social Work

Graduates of Seneca’s two-year Social Service Worker diploma program with a minimum overall average of 75% (B+) are eligible to apply and will be granted six credits towards a four-year Bachelor of Social Work degree at Trent University. This agreement accepts students into second year of the Bachelor of Social Work program. Students are required to apply for entry into third year of the program in order to continue with the professional years of the Bachelor of Social Work program. Students who are not admitted will need to choose an alternative major to continue with their university studies. Admission to the professional years is limited and competitive.
