General Policy

Students applying to Western from an Ontario college must present a minimum overall average of at least 78% in a two- or three-year diploma program or a minimum overall average of at least 80% in the first year of a recognized General Arts and Science program. Students who are completing a two- or three-year diploma may be eligible for transfer credit. Averages quoted are minimum requirements only and do not guarantee admission. There may be secondary school level prerequisite courses necessary to be eligible for registration in some Western courses or to be eligible for admission to some programs.

Seneca Program: Environmental Technician, Environmental Technology

Degree: Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science

Graduates with a GPA of 3.0 with no grade less than “C” on all courses taken towards the completion of the two-year Environmental Technician diploma program or three-year Environmental Technology diploma will be considered for admission to the Environmental Science Program in the Faculty of Science at Western University. Courses used towards the diploma program that are upgraded after the completion of the diploma program will be considered as part of the GPA. Courses taken after the completion of the diploma program and not used towards the diploma program will not be calculated as part of the GPA. Graduates of the Environmental Technician diploma program are eligible for up to 5.5 transfer credits (out of 20) and graduates of the Environmental Technology advanced diploma program are eligible for up to 7.5 transfer credits (out of 20).
