About this initiative
Career Recharge, presented by TD, is an innovative approach to the challenge of re-skilling mid-career individuals at risk of job loss due to disruptive changes in the labour market. Instead of simply training those individuals for another career, Seneca’s model is to change career DNA — helping to transform them into creative thinkers, designers, problem solvers, collaborators, communicators, and to build-up resilience as they navigate the ever-changing employment landscape and prepare for the economy of the future.
This program is for individuals who want to prepare for their career-future, whether that be re-entering the workforce, advancing in their existing field, changing careers, starting a venture or understanding the impact of technological change on the world of work.
Career Recharge participants will:
- Understand the impact of technology on the world of work over the next 3 to 5 years
- Understand the skills and qualities needed for the new world of work including creativity, collaboration, communication and resilience
- Develop an entrepreneurial mindset
- Access resources
- Create a career toolkit of skills
Since Career Recharge’s launch in June 2019, they have hosted 21 workshops. Based on feedback from participants, 92% were satisfied or completely satisfied with their workshop experience and 94% would recommend Career Recharge to a family member or a friend.
