As an international student enrolled in a full-time professional program at Seneca, you have mandatory health insurance (covered by Morcare) included in your tuition fees. You will be automatically included in the health insurance plan for the current academic year (September 1 to August 31), depending on your program start date.
You are expected to pay an outstanding balance at the start of your term. You can find this information under the account inquiry section in your Student Centre. You will need to login with your student username and password to access Student Centre.
Health Insurance Coverage
Your health insurance includes services such as hospital and doctor services in Ontario, diagnostic laboratory and x-ray services, eye examinations, emergency services and medically necessary dental care in hospital. The plan provides for doctor’s services and hospital ward accommodation.
The plan includes prescribed drugs, paramedical services such as physiotherapist, psychologist, and more. Limited emergency out-of-province and out-of-country coverage is also included in this plan.
Health Insurance Fees and Refund Policy
The health insurance fees and refund policy is only applicable to full-time international students enrolled in professional programs. Learn more about the Rates and Refund Policy.
If you are an international student who has a valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), please email Talita Gavrilescu, our international student co-ordinator to review eligibility.
