Itinerary

Oct. 18
Fly to London-Heathrow from Toronto-Pearson

Oct. 19
Tour of London, then board the Navigator of the Seas in Southampton

Oct. 20
At sea, all access tour of the ship and lecture. Formal night.

Oct. 21 – Arrive in Bilbao
Delve into the art and architectural splendors of Bilbao, with a guided tour of the city's medieval Old Town district. Travel by coach to the Seven Streets section, the oldest part of Bilbao's Old Town, view landmarks such as the gothic Cathedral of Santiago, and roam the alfresco Plaza Nueva. Delight in the exquisite design of the world-famous Guggenheim Museum before viewing its acclaimed art exhibits.

Oct. 22 – Arrive in La Coruna
Travel to a different era as you explore La Coruna, a vibrant city overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, loaded with Spanish medieval history. Walk past the Castle of San Anton, now an archaeological museum, as well as the Church of Santiago, see one of the most emblematic images of the "Crystal City". Get pictures of the Tower of Hercules, the oldest Roman lighthouse in operation, and enjoy scrumptious Spanish snacks at Port Cobo Hotel.

Oct. 23
At sea. Round table discussion with officers, directors and crew. Experience an etiquette dining session.

Oct. 24 – Arrive in Cherbourg
Take a step back in time with a tour of the Normandy beaches and the British Cemetery in Bayeux. Hear first-hand accounts of the 1944 World War II Allied attack while seeing the coastline where the English first landed to liberate occupied France. Travel along the coast past Sword, Juno and Gold beaches, where land mines and wartime obstacles were once housed. Enjoy free time to explore museum exhibits or grab lunch at Arromanches, an artificial harbor where the successful ground landing took place. This tour is definitely one for the history books.

Formal night

Oct. 25 – Arrive in LeHavre (Paris)
See all the dazzling sights in the City of Lights, explore the Louvre Museum at your leisure on this daylong sightseeing adventure. Your day in Paris begins with an exterior photo stop at the Eiffel Tower. Embark on sightseeing drive as you venture past the boutique-lined Champs-Elysees, sprawling Concorde Square, the 19th-century Palais Garnier opera house, and historic Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Oct. 26
Arrive at Southampton port, and transfer to London Heathrow airport for flight back to Toronto-Pearson.

Prices from $2,410.15 CAD per person (double occupancy, inside cabin).

Qualifying students may be eligible for a $500 grant, reducing the overall cost of the trip.
