Feb. 10, 2017

Brendan Shanahan, NHL legend and the current president of the Toronto Maple Leafs, visited Newnham Campus recently to share his experiences in business.

Mr. Shanahan spoke with the future entrepreneurs of HELIX about the importance that leadership and team building play in creating a successful organization.

"Be somebody that makes your coworkers look good and you'll build an army. If doing a project with you gives me accolades, I want to work with you again," he said, when providing insight on what he feels it takes to be a successful business leader.

He also took some time to answer questions from the capacity crowd in the Great Hall.

HELIX, Seneca’s on-campus incubator, invites youth between the ages of 18 to 29 to explore entrepreneurship as a career option and advance their venture ideas.
