On-campus tributes for Broncos continue
Tributes to show support for the victims, survivors and families of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy are on display at the Office of the Registrar and ice rink at Newnham Campus, as well as the Seneca@York Computing Commons.
People across Canada (and the world) are showing their support for the victims, survivors and families of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy by placing hockey sticks outdoors, and by wearing sports jerseys. The crash on April 6 involving a bus carrying the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League team, has taken the lives of 16 people.
An online fundraiser for the victims, survivors and their families closed on Wednesday, April 18 with a total of $15 million raised, making it the most-funded Canadian GoFundMe campaign ever. More than 140,000 people from over 80 countries donated to the cause within 12 days.
