Dr. Ken Wong of the School of Marketing has received the Minister of Colleges and Universities' Award of Excellence for his dedication to students, the local community and the broader postsecondary education sector during the pandemic.

Dr. Wong, who holds a Doctor in Business Administration, Marketing, was nominated for his efforts in providing relevant online learning tools to help other educators during the pandemic. Through a collaboration with Margaret Osborne of Seneca's School of International Business & Management and Paul Lam, a professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Wong co-developed and launched a free version of his Presentria class response system to provide opportunities for his students to sharpen their product design, marketing and entrepreneurship skills.

Last month, Dr. Wong's team launched Canada's first experiential place-based learning tool, Presentria GO, which provides a new way of learning outside of the classroom.
