David Agnew speaking with Indian representatives at Higher Education Forum India 2019

Jan. 31, 2019

President David Agnew recently travelled to India to strengthen Seneca's ties with the nation.

During the trip, he renewed Seneca's memorandum of understanding with the National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), a leader in training Indian civil servants. Since 2016, NIFM has sent more than 200 Government of India officers to Seneca for short-term training programs on financial and fiscal management, a partnership that the two institutions have agreed to continue for the next five years.

President Agnew also signed a new agreement with Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University during the International Universities Conclave 2019, which occurred as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019. This partnership will provide Seneca employees with invaluable international experiences. More details to come.

President Agnew was invited to participate in a variety of speaking engagements in India as well, during which he provided audiences with a Canadian perspective on international education, skill development and leadership.
