  • Applying to Ontario medical school is extremely competitive. In 2018, there were 6,664 applicants, but the total target class size is only 913 for all Ontario medical schools.
  • After the completion of a Bachelor’s degree, additional education will usually take between 5 and 9 years depending on the specialty chosen.
  • In 2017, 5,011 certificates of registration were issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
