Athabasca University offers fully-online degree completion opportunities to Seneca graduates from a variety of programs.

Applications to Athabasca University are treated individually according to the relevant credential program regulations and are dependent on the year the Seneca program and/or individual courses were completed, the course selection within the diploma and other variables. Seneca Program: Business Administration – Management, Business – Insurance, Business Administration – Financial Planning, Library and Information Technician, Business Administration – Entrepreneurship & Small Business, Business, Police Foundations, Global Hospitality Operations Management

Degree: Bachelor of Professional Arts – Governance, Law and Management

Graduates of two-year diplomas may receive up to 60 transfer credits, while graduates of three-year diplomas may receive up to 72 transfer credits towards this 120-credit degree.


Seneca Program: Police Foundations

Degree: Bachelor of Professional Arts – Criminal Justice

Graduates may receive up to 60 credits toward the 120 required for this degree.


Seneca Program: Business Administration – Management, Business Administration – Marketing, Journalism, Library and Information Technician

Degree: Bachelor of Professional Arts – Communication Studies

Graduates of two-year diplomas may receive up to 60 credits while graduates of three-year diplomas may receive up to 72 credits towards this 120-credit degree.


Seneca Program: Recreation & Leisure Services, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Police Foundations, Social Service Worker – Immigrants & Refugees, Social Service Worker – Gerontology, Fitness & Health Promotion, Behavioural Sciences

Degree: Bachelor of Professional Arts – Human Services

Graduates may receive up to 60 credits towards this 120-credit degree.


Seneca Program: Law Clerk

Degree: Bachelor of Professional Arts – Communication Studies, Bachelor of Professional Arts – Governance, Law & Management, Bachelor of Professional Arts – Human Services

Graduates may receive up to 30 credits towards this 120-credit degree. Students are required to present an additional 30 university-level credits prior to admittance into the Bachelor of Professional Arts – Communication Studies, Bachelor of Professional Arts – Governance, Law & Management, or Bachelor of Professional Arts – Human Services programs.


Seneca Program: Accounting & Finance, Accounting & Payroll, Accounting, Business – Insurance, Business – International Business, Business – Marketing, Business Administration – Accounting & Financial Planning, Business Administration – Entrepreneurship & Small Business, Business Administration – Financial Planning, Business Administration – Human Resources, Business Administration – International Business, Business Administration – Management, Business Administration – Marketing, Business Administration – Purchasing & Supply Management, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Programming & Analysis, Creative Advertising, Law Clerk, Real Property Administration (Assessment & Appraisal)

Degree: Bachelor of Management, three-year (Post-Diploma), Bachelor of Commerce, four-year (post-diploma)

Graduates of two-year diploma programs may receive 30 to 45 credits towards either the 90-credit (BMgmt Post-Diploma [PD]), three-year degree or 120-credit (BComm [PD]), four-year degree. Graduates of three-year diploma programs may receive up to 66 credits towards the 90-credit, three-year degree (BMgmt Post-Diploma [PD] only), or up to 66 credits towards the 120-credit, four-year degree (BComm [PD] with major), or up to 75 credits towards the 120-credit, four-year degree (BComm [PD]). Seneca Program: Chemical Laboratory Technician, Electronics Engineering Technician

Degree: Bachelor of Science (Post-Diploma), Bachelor of Science (Post-Diploma) with Majors

Graduates may receive 30 credits towards the B.Sc. (PD) or B.Sc. (PD) with Majors in Applied Mathematics, Computing Information Systems or Human Science.

Please note: Students may receive up to 30 additional credits on a course-by-course basis, if courses in the diploma fulfil requirements of Athabasca University's B.Sc. (PD) programs.


Seneca Program: Computer Networking & Technical Support, Computer Systems Technology, Computer Programmer, Computer Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Computer Programming & Analysis, Electronics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Programming

Degree: Bachelor of Science (Post-Diploma), Bachelor of Science (Post-Diploma) with Majors

Graduates may receive 60 credits towards the B.Sc. (PD) degree or 30 credits* towards the B.Sc. (PD) with Majors in Applied Mathematics, Computing Information Systems or Human Science.
