About the Program

This eight-month Flight Services certificate program is offered in co-operation with major airlines giving you a competitive edge in the airline service industry. In this program, you will develop a diverse range of skills related to safety and emergency procedures, both on the ground and in-flight. You will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviour required to explore a rewarding career in the service-driven aviation industry. You will learn to perform a variety of functions, aircraft safety procedures and essential techniques to deliver an exceptional passenger experience.

New for 2021! Seneca is launching a new Flights Experiential Hub at Newnham Campus. This state-of-the-art training centre is the first of its kind among Canadian postsecondary institutions. It includes a B737 cabin simulator, A320 door simulator, mock airline interior cabin and aircraft evacuation slide to provide you with real-life learning experiences. This program has common first-year courses with the Flight Services: Operations & Cabin Management diploma program. This allows students the opportunity to use their earned credits to pathway into the two-year diploma program, should they choose.

Uniform

As an aspiring industry professional, you will study and work in a Seneca branded uniform helping you feel job-ready from the start. You must purchase the uniform at an additional cost.

iPad Requirement

All course documents and textbooks have been developed for use on an iPad. You are required to have an iPad by the first week of classes. iPads must be 4th generation or later with iOS 8 or higher and at least 2GB of memory. If you don't have an iPad with these specifications, you can get one through Apple for Higher Education Individuals Store where you will get an education discount.  

The Winter 2021 semester will be offered online in response to COVID-19. Students will not be required to have an iPad or the Flight Services uniform until on-campus learning resumes.
