About the Program

Amid the growing demand for pilots worldwide, this Seneca certificate program is delivered in partnership with Toronto Airways at the Oshawa Executive Airport to prepare you with non-technical skills and competencies needed to be an airline pilot. Students applying to the program must first complete their private pilot licence training with Toronto Airways, which delivers all of the flight training. The academic courses align with and support the Transport Canada Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence requirements, with a focus on professional leadership, multi-crew co-operation, avionics, meteorology, human factors as well as safety and ethics.

Skills

Throughout this program you will develop the following skills:

  • analysis to examine ethical issues and human factors that impact the operation of an aircraft
  • leadership, communication and problem-solving while working independently and in groups

 

Your Career

Upon completion of this program, you will continue your flight training with Toronto Airways and work towards preparing for Transport Canada’s Airline Transport Pilot Licence exams.
