Program Learning Outcomes

As a graduate, you will be prepared to reliably demonstrate the ability to:

  • Apply principles of ethical and sustainable business practices that govern international trade to advise on the import and export of goods within a regulated process.
  • Apply domestic and international legislation, agreements and protocols when preparing documentation for the importing and exporting of goods.
  • Act ethically and professionally in a business environment.
  • Prepare documents for operational coordination and financial administration to support trade and transport of goods.
  • Apply principles of risk management to mitigate financial and political risks in domestic and international trades.
  • Apply verbal and written communication skills across all channels to prepare, organize and disseminate information for a variety of purposes.
  • Apply knowledge of auditing principles and activities as it relates to transportation of goods to support customs compliance.
  • Compare the cost of transportation and customs for importing and exporting of goods to recommend profitable strategies that align with the organization’s business model and supply chain operations.
