About the Program

Develop your podcasting skills with two microcredentials designed to help you create podcasts that are accessible and inclusive to all. Enrol in one or both to earn microcredentials and take your expertise to the next level, in order to meet accessibility standards and create inclusive content.

In the pre-production course, you’ll learn about planning, researching, interviewing and writing. The production microcredential is more hands-on, with a technical focus on working with the equipment and software that industry producers currently use.

These microcredentials are for recent media or communications graduates, entry-level producers and people interested in creating podcasts. No prior podcasting or technical experience is required.

This is one of the first programs in Canada to focus on accessible podcasting. The microcredentials are funded by the Broadcasting Accessibility Fund and have been developed with the CNIB Foundation and the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association.
