About the Program

Seneca is partnering with Avid Technology Inc. to offer an intensive microcredential that provides the training needed to enter the booming film and television industry as an Avid Ingest Operator. This skillset prepares you for the first step towards achieving more senior positions such as an assistant editor within Ontario.

Avid is the industry standard for creating, storing, distributing and monetizing digital film and television content. This microcredential develops the competencies necessary for ingesting media into production and nearline storage for non-scripted television environments — a skillset that is in high demand in the industry.

Applicants require at least a beginner’s level understanding of Avid Media Composer and digital media.

Earners can display their badges on social media sites, electronic portfolios and resumés.
