We’re launching a free course to help you reach degree studies at Seneca.

If you are thinking about or have applied to a degree at Seneca, but don’t meet the high school math requirements, you now have the opportunity to upgrade your skills in our free 14-week course.

Upon successful completion of this course with a minimum grade of 65 per cent you will meet Seneca’s math (Grade 12U) degree requirement. Note that some degrees may have additional admission requirements that also need to be satisfied or met.

Math: 12U Equivalency

14 weeks plus Study Week break


Mondays from 3:20 p.m. to 6 p.m.






This course is equivalent to the Ontario curriculum's Mathematics of Data Management: Grade 12 (MDM4U) course. Successful completion of this course is not applicable to satisfy admission requirements to programs outside of Seneca.

To apply to this course you will need to email to book an assessment to test your skills. Upon successful completion of the assessment you will be registered into the Math: 12U Equivalency course.

The Math: 12U Equivalency course is tuition free.


Course Length

This course runs for 14 weeks (plus Study Week break). Classes are scheduled in the evenings on Mondays allowing you the flexibility to work and study at the same time.
