D100: Faculty of Business Bursary

Awarded to assist students registered in any program in the Faculty of Business. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and Ontario residents with demonstrated financial need.

D106: Koehler Grandchildren Bursary Fund

Awarded to students in the School of Business Management the School of International Business and Management, the School of Leadership and Human Resources or the Social Service Worker or Nursing Programs. The recipient shall have sound academic standing, above-average dedication, be compassionate and caring, have demonstrated significant commitment and effort to their education, and have a demonstrated financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents. Recommendation is made by faculty members.

D107: BMO Financial Group Bursary

Bursaries to assist students registered in the faculty of business who have demonstrated academic achievement and financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents.

D108: Frank Ridley Memorial Award

Awarded to a second- or third-year student from the Faculty of Business who has shown the following: involvement and leadership in extra-curricular activities or clubs at Seneca; high academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or higher) leadership in the classroom and support for his/her fellow classmates learning; interest in business as demonstrated through participation in industry events and initiatives; and demonstrated financial need. Recipient will be recommended by faculty. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents.

D109: Victoria George Memorial Award

Awarded to a student in their second or third year of the Business-Marketing or Business Administration – Marketing program. The recipient must have demonstrated leadership in the classroom and support for his/her fellow classmates' learning, involvement in extra-curricular activities/clubs at Seneca, good academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and interest in the marketing industry through participation in marketing events and initiatives. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. Selection will be made by the faculty based on the stated criteria.

D110: Adam Bhagiratti Memorial Award

To be awarded to a graduating student enrolled in any program within the Centre for Human Resources. The recipient must have good academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.0), demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities, classroom and support for his/her fellow classmates' learning and demonstrated financial need. Eligible student must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents.

D112: TechConnex Endowed Bursary

This award is open to a second-year student enrolled in any full-time program within the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Technology or the Faculty of Business. The recipient will have a minimum GPA of 3.5, exhibit a passion to learn, be a creative thinker and a team player. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of a recipient will be made by faculty members.

D113: DIALOG Environmental Sustainability Award

Awarded to three full-time students enrolled in environmentally oriented academic programs:

  • one student in the Environmental Landscape Management program
  • one student in the Sustainable Business Management program
  • one student in any program within the School of Environmental & Civil Engineering Technology or the Building Systems Engineering Technician program or the Mechanical Engineering Technology - Building Sciences program.

The recipients will have completed at least one semester in their program, have good academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.0) and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability or environmental issues through their course work and/or extra-curricular activities. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of recipients is recommended by faculty members.

D114: Campaign For Students' Bursary for the Faculty of Business

Awarded students in the Faculty of Business who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and a resident of Ontario. Recipients will be selected by the Awards Committee.

D115: POi Business Interiors Scholarship

Awarded to a domestic student enrolled in Seneca Business with a GPA of 3.0, a passion for learning, a critical thinker and leadership skills. The recipient will be recommended by faculty.

D203: Seneca Human Resources Endowed Bursary

Awarded as an entrance scholarship for a student in the Business Administration - Human Resources program who has demonstrated financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents.

D303: Scott R. Gerricks Bursary

Awarded to a full-time student enrolled in any accounting, accounting and finance or international accounting and finance program within the School of Accounting & Financial Services. Candidates will have overcome personal challenges to attain academic success/achievement, shown above-average dedication, is compassionate and caring, and has a demonstrated financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents.

D309: Economical Insurance Scholarship

Awarded to second-year students in the Business Insurance program. The recipients will have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or above, exhibit a strong work ethic, an overall commitment to excellence and a strong desire to pursue a career in insurance. The recommendation is made by faculty members.

D402: Val Azzoli Bursary

Awarded to a student enrolled in the School of International Business & Management. The recipient will have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and has demonstrated financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons residing in Ontario.

D403: Alex Miklos Award, The

This award will be given annually to a student enrolled in any business administration program within the School of International Business & Management. The recipient will have successfully completed the first semester with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 who has demonstrated financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons residing in Ontario.

D404: CIBC Bursary Fund

Awarded to students from the Faculty of Business and the Bachelor of Financial Services Management program. Recipients shall have high academic standing. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents with demonstrated financial need.

D405: Scotiabank Bursary for Business and Financial Management

Awarded to students in the Faculty of Business and Bachelor of Financial Services Management program. Recipients shall show high academic achievement. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents and have financial need.

D406: RBC Foundation Bursary for Business and Financial Management

Bursary fund open to Ontario students in the Faculty of Business and Bachelor of Financial Services Management program. Bursaries will be awarded primarily on the basis of demonstrated academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and Ontario residents.

D407: HSBC Bank Canada Business Studies Scholarships

Awarded to students enrolled full time in the Financial Services Management  program who have demonstrated high academic standing and financial need. Recipients must be Canadian citizens and Ontario residents.

D408: HSBC Bank Canada Business Studies for International Students

Awarded to international students enrolled full time in the Financial Services Management  program who have demonstrated high academic standing and financial need.

D409: Sun Life Financial Achievement Award

Awarded to full-time students in either the Fitness & Health Promotion or Financial Planning programs, or related programs. The recipients shall have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent resident or protected persons residing in Ontario. Selection will be made by the Awards Committee based on these criteria.

D412: Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network — Ontario Central Scholarship

Awarded to a student enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Commerce - Financial Services Management program within the School of Accounting & Financial Services. The recipient will display high academic achievement and, most importantly, a strong dedication to the financial services industry – in particular the life insurance industry. Recommendation is made by a faculty member.

D413: Dean S. Ramdath Core Sales Inc./Seneca Student Federation Award

This award is given to a full-time student who is enrolled in the Sustainable Business Management graduate certificate program within the School of Leadership & Human Resources. The recipient will have good academic standing (minimum GPA of 2.0), demonstrate involvement in environmental sustainability projects in the community and have demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to an international student. The selection of a recipient will be made by faculty members.

D414: Joe Dickstein Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who is interested in pursuing a career in life and/or accident and sickness insurance. The award is available to students in the Financial Planning (FIP) Graduate Certificate program. The recipient will have a minimum term GPA of 3.0 in the first semester of the FIP program, exhibit a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. The recipient will be invited to receive the award at the annual Canada Sales Congress and is encouraged to attend to receive recognition and represent Seneca. Recommendation for this award will be made by the FIP program co-ordinator and chair.

D416: Association of Canadian Compliance Professionals Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student in the Financial Services Compliance Administration program. The recipient will have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above, exhibit a strong work ethic, and an overall commitment to excellence. The recommendation is to be made by faculty members.

D501: School of Fashion Alumni Award

Awarded to a second- or final-year student enrolled full time in the School of Fashion. Applicants must have attained a GPA of 3.0. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of a recipient is made by faculty members.

D502: Aramark Food Services Award

Awarded to a student in their final year of the Visual Merchandising Arts program. The selection is based on academic achievement, strong graphic skills and creative design. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of a recipient is made by faculty members.

D509: Perry Dellio - Perry's Yorkville Award

Awarded to a student enrolled in semester three of the Fashion Business or Fashion Business Management program. The selection of a recipient is based on academic standing, financial need and an aptitude for the industry.

D510: The Tommy Hilfiger (Canada) Award

Awarded to a student enrolled in their second year of studies in either the Fashion Business or Fashion Business Management program. The successful candidate will have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

D511: Visual Merchandising Arts Scholarship

Awarded to students in the second year of the Visual Merchandising Arts program. The recipients will have exceeded expectations and/or achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.

D512: Vivienne Poy Creative Knitwear Award

Awarded to a student in their final year of the Fashion Arts program. The selection of a recipient is made by faculty members.

D513: The Liz Stark Memorial Award

Awarded to a student enrolled in the second year of the Fashion Business or Fashion Business Management program. The recipient shall show a high academic standing and an aptitude for the industry. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of a recipient is made by faculty members.

D521: The Albert & Claire Haddad Bursary

Awarded to a second-year student in the Fashion Arts or Fashion Business Management program. The recipient shall have sound academic standing; above-average dedication, passion and commitment in pursuit of their education and career in the fashion industry; and demonstrated leadership and volunteer involvement. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of a recipient is made by faculty members.

D522: The Sheila Spears Memorial Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Esthetician or the Esthetics and Spa Therapies programs. The recipients shall have sound academic standing, above-average dedication, be compassionate and caring, and have demonstrated leadership and involvement in the community or Seneca's student life. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of recipients are made by faculty members.

D523: Aramark Food Services Excellence Award

Two awards will be presented to students in their first year of the Visual Merchandising Arts program who are returning in the second term. The recipients will have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate excellence in their work. Three awards will be given to students in the second year of the Visual Merchandising Arts program. The recipients will have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and have achieved the highest level of academic excellence. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of recipients is made by faculty members.

D601: The Leo Couprie Awards

Awards will be given to students enrolled full time in the International Business program. One award will be presented to a student enrolled in the first year of the program who has successfully completed the first semester with a minimum GPA of 3.0 grade and who has demonstrated financial need. One award will be presented to a student enrolled in their second year of the program who has successfully completed the third semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and who has demonstrated financial need. One award will be presented to a student enrolled in their third year of the program who has successfully completed the fifth semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

D603: TST Overland Express International Transportation and Customs Scholarship

Two awards will be presented to the top students entering their second year of Seneca's International Transportation and Customs program. Students will be selected by faculty in April, based on academic performance and participation during their first year in the program. They must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5 and they must have contributed to the program and the success of their peers.

D701: Office Admin, Legal and Public Admin Award

This award assists students enrolled in any program within the School of Office Administration or the School of Legal & Public Administration. Selection is based on a student’s academic achievement, and preference will be given to students who have also demonstrated leadership qualities and participation in extra-curricular activities and student life. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The recipient will be recommended by faculty.

D703: Criminal Lawyers' Association Award

These awards are for students in the School of Legal & Public Administration. Candidates must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need, as well as participation in student associations and extracurricular activities.

D707: Altus Group Scholarships

Awarded to a graduating student in each of the Real Property Administration and Real Property Administration (Accelerated) programs for high academic standing. Candidates must have successfully completed the University of British Columbia courses offered in their first and second semester.

D709: RPA Szeto Award

One award will be given to an international student with the best academic achievement in the Real Property Administration program.

D710A: IMA Achievement Award

Awarded to a graduating student in the Real Property Administration or Real Property Administration (Accelerated) program with the highest cumulative GPA.

D710D: Christian G. Schulze Award for Excellence

Awarded to a graduating student in either the Real Property Administration or Real Property Administration (Accelerated) programs. Candidates must have a high academic standing in the Law and the Assessor - Part 1 course (RPA413). Students must demonstrate good attendance and class participation. Selection is made by faculty members.

D713: Michael Ward Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a student in Real Property Administration (RPA) or Real Property Administration (Accelerated) programs who has demonstrated continuous improvement in the professional RPA courses. The student must be an active participant in day-to-day classroom activities, and demonstrate an appreciation for the theory and practice of valuation and assessment.

D716: Association of Ontario Land Economists Award

Awarded to a full-time graduating student in the Real Property Administration or Real Property Administration Accelerated program. The recipient will have high academic standing in the Microeconomics course, along with making valuable contributions to the classroom environment. The recipient will be recommended by faculty.

D719: Lucia Rossi Memorial Bursary

An endowed bursary open to students enrolled in the legal programs of Seneca's School of Legal & Public Administration as well as the Office Administration - Legal program in honour and in memory of Lucia Rossi. The recipient will be recommended by faculty based on the following criteria:

  • a student enrolled in the School of Legal & Public Administration's Legal program or the Office Administration - Legal program
  • a student who has overcome personal challenges to attain academic success/achievement
  • has above-average dedication, is compassion and caring
  • has demonstrated financial need

Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

D720E: Appraisal Institute of Canada Scholarship

Award is given to a graduating student in either the Real Property Administration or Real Property Administration (Accelerated) programs who is eligible to become a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC). The recipient will have a high academic standing in the The Appraisal of Real Estate course (RPA112) and one or more of the additional AIC curriculum courses, has made valuable contributions in the classroom and has active interest in the field of real property as a career. The selection of a recipient will be made by faculty members.

D720G: DuCharme McMillan & Associates Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating student in the Real Property Administration or Real Property Administration (Accelerated) programs who has above average academic standing in all RPA courses and who is most helpful to their peers. The selection of a recipient will be made by faculty members.

D720J: Ontario Municipal Tax and Revenue Association Scholarship

Awarded to 2 graduating students in Real Property Administration with above average grades in RPA210 (Municipal Tax Administration).

D720M: Henry Brendel Scholarship

Graduating student in either RPA or RPAA with high academic grades in RPA115. Student also demonstrates good attendance and participation in the classroom.

D721: Stikeman Elliott Bursary

A bursary open to enrolled in Seneca's School of Legal & Public Administration, Law Clerk or Office Administration (Legal) Program. The recipient will be selected based upon the following criteria:

  • A full-time student enrolled in the School of Legal & Public Administration, Law Clerk or Office Administration (Legal) Program
  • A student who has attained academic achievement
  • Above average dedication to their education
  • Demonstrated financial need.

Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

D728: Paul Sloggett Real Property Administration Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating student in the Real Property Administration or the Real Property Administration (Accelerated) programs. The recipient will have demonstrated a caring attitude towards others, volunteered at Seneca and/or in the community, demonstrated high attendance, good participation in the classroom and a high GPA. Selections will be made by the faculty members.

D730: Judge John Kerr Award

Awarded to a second-year student enrolled full time in the Paralegal program or a full-time student in the Paralegal (Accelerated) program. The recipient shall have good aptitude, high academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.5) and participation in extra-curricular activities. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and Ontario residents, have demonstrated financial need. Recommendation of a recipient is made by faculty members.

D731: RPA Impact Award

Awarded to a graduating student in the Real Property Administration (Assessment and Appraisal) or Real Property Administration (Assessment and Appraisal) (Accelerated) programs. The recipient will have earned the recognition of their peers for being the most helpful, and in the process will have made a positive impact in the success of their journey. The selection of the recipient will be made by faculty members based on voting by fellow students in the program.

D733: REALTAX ORIGINALITY SCHOLARSHIP - PAD

Awarded to a graduating student in the Public Administration program who has demonstrated innovative, outside-the-box thinking and has shown creative solutions in their approach to the program curriculum.

The recipient will have earned the recognition of their faculty and peers, and made a positive impact on the classroom environment.

The recipient’s positive attitude and passion for the subject matter, along with their adherence to the highest standards of ethics and integrity, have added value to the classroom dynamic and atmosphere for all.

D734: MPAC Award for Excellence in Property Valuation

Awarded to a student in the Real Property Administration (RPA) program who:

  • exhibits an aptitude and appreciation for the advancement of property valuation practices
  • demonstrates an advanced skill set in fundamental valuation techniques, automated costing and mass appraisal methodology as exhibited through high academic standing and active classroom participation in the Data Collection, Automated Costing and Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal courses within the RPA program
  • echoes the commitment of the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation’s (MPAC) commitment to building better communities through their participation in community endeavours that serve to enhance the community environment

D800: Office Administration Programs Scholarship

Awarded to a student graduating from any Office Administration program.

D801: The A & L Computer Award

Awarded to a student in the Office Administration - Medical program. The candidate will be recommended by the faculty, and selection will be based on academic achievement, improvement and demonstrated financial need.

D804: The Borden Ladner Gervais LLP Award

Awarded to a student graduating from the Office Administration - Legal program, who has demonstrated strong English skills specifically with regard to spelling and grammar.

D806: The Sandra Jorstad Memorial Award

Scholarship will be given to a student who is a mature/single parent that is selected by the faculty. The student must be registered in their second semester and have a history of high academic standing. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. 

D901: Adworks Mailing Awards

Awarded to a student in their second year of the Marketing program who has successfully completed the first year with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who has demonstrated financial need. The second award will go to a student in their third year of the Marketing Administration program who has successfully completed the second year with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

D902: Parmalat Canada Bursary

Awarded to students who are enrolled full time in the Business Administration - Marketing or Business - Marketing programs within the School of Marketing. Bursaries will be awarded primarily on the basis of demonstrated academic achievement. Recommendation to be made by faculty. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

D904: Victoria George Memorial Scholarship

Available to students in their second or third year of Business - Marketing or Business Administration – Marketing programs. Criteria includes:

  • leadership in the classroom and support for his/her fellow classmates' learning
  • involvement and leadership in extra-curricular activities/clubs at Seneca
  • good academic performance, with a GPA of at least 3.0
  • a demonstrated interest in the marketing industry through participation in marketing events and initiatives

D906: AdClub of Toronto Connector Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time second-year student enrolled in the Creative Advertising program. The recipient will exhibit strong networking and relationship-building skills who is the connector of the class). The recommendation will be made by faculty.
