E109: Teresa Mak Memorial Award

Awarded to a second-year student in the Liberal Arts University Transfer program or the Arts & Science – University Transfer program. The recipient will demonstrates commitment and selfless assistance to fellow students. The recipient will be recommended by faculty.

E111: Malca Litovitz Prize for Creative Writing (Bursary)

Award for creative writing to be given to a Seneca student who most demonstrates Malca's qualities of creativity and commitment to writing. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and Ontario residents with demonstrated financial need.

E112: Ann Rostrup English Bursary

Awarded to mature students who are enrolled full time in any program and have successfully completed a first-semester English course. The recipient will be recommended by faculty based on their above-average dedication, and compassionate and caring nature. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

E113: Cathy James Memorial Award

This award was established in honour and memory of former faculty member Cathy James. Awarded to graduating students in the Liberal Arts University Transfer program or the Arts and Science – University Transfer program who are pursuing undergraduate studies with Seneca’s university partners and demonstrate financial need. In addition, the recipient will have outstanding academic performance, demonstrated compassion and integrity, proven collegiality and sincerity, academic curiosity and intellectual passion. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and Ontario residents. The recipients will be recommended by faculty.

E114: Cathy James Memorial Scholarship

This award was established in honour and memory of former faculty member Cathy James. Awarded to a graduating student in the Liberal Arts University Transfer program or the Arts and Science – University Transfer program who is pursuing undergraduate studies with the Seneca's university partners. In addition, the recipient will have outstanding academic performance, demonstrated compassion and integrity, proven collegiality and sincerity, academic curiosity and intellectual passion. The recipient will be recommended by faculty.

F104: Jennifer MacKenzie Bursary

A bursary to provide financial support to a Seneca student who is legally blind; enrolled in any full-time or part-time certificate, diploma or degree program; and has a demonstrated financial need.

G102: FCE Bursary Fund

Awarded to a limited number of students registered in credit courses in the Faculty of Continuing Education. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need.

G105: Primus Long Distance Affinity Bursary

These awards assist students registered in any Faculty of Continuing Education courses.

G113: FCE Student Levy Bursary

Bursaries to assist students registered in any diploma/certificate program within the Faculty of Continuing Education.

G117: IRIS The Visual Group - Experience Better Vision Award

This award recognizes students in the Opticianry Diploma Program that exemplify IRIS’ values of passion, honesty and respect, and will be awarded to one student from the full-time program and another from the part-time continuing education program. Recipients shall demonstrate good team spirit, class participation and overall enthusiasm for the program/industry. The recommendation is made by faculty members.

G119: Paul Steca Award

Awarded to a student in the Building Environmental Systems program within the Faculty of Continuing Education. The recipient meet the following criteria:

  • good academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.0)
  • dedication to the program and a focus on becoming a professional in building environmental systems and building management
  • demonstrated interest in the industry through participation in professional organizations and industry events
  • leadership in the classroom
  • support for his/her fellow classmates' learning

Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents and have demonstrated financial need. The selection of a recipient is made by faculty members.

G120: Cindy Hazell Award for Non-Direct Part-Time Students

Awarded to a non-direct part-time student in any postsecondary credential program. Non-direct is defined as students who have been out of high school for at least one year prior to enrolling at Seneca. Students who have taken one or more high school courses in the past year, including night school or correspondence courses, are not eligible. Preference will be given to a student who demonstrates financial need.

G122: Campaign for Students Bursary for the Faculty of Continuing Education and Training

Awarded to students in the Faculty of Continuing Education and Training who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and a resident of Ontario. Recipients will be selected by the Awards Committee.

H103: Heather Sako Memorial Bursary

Awarded to one full-time student enrolled in the English Language Institute. Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need.

I154: Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited Entrance Award

This award is presented to a student to one student who meets the following criteria:

  • maintains good academic standing of an 80 per cent average or equivalent
  • is enrolled full time for the current academic year of study at Seneca
  • has a financial need of at least $3,500

Eligible students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons and a resident of Ontario.
