Work Study is a needs‐based employment opportunity program that applies to students (Domestic and International) in full‐time attendance at Seneca, who are in good academic standing to work on campus. Students are encouraged to find their own job opportunities by checking Seneca Works and by dropping their resumes to different departments in the College.
Once your job opportunity has been secured and per Employer request fill out the online application and select the ‘work study program eligible’ award for the term for which you are applying, if you are eligible this will come up after you submit the budget. The online application can be found on the student center under “Apply for financial aid”. After the tenth day of the term we will review the applications and students who are eligible for the work study will be approved. Please see the “View My Student Awards” page on Student Centre to see if you are eligible. Please print a screenshot of this page showing the work study has been approved and take it to your employer.
Salary and schedule (not to exceed 24 hours) will be up to your employer at Seneca.
The Financial Aid Office will let your employer at Seneca know if you are qualified, placed on hold or denied.
Yes. You must submit a new application each year in order to be considered for Work Study.
