Seneca’s Documentary Filmmaking Institute (DFI) provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to produce professional documentary and non-fiction media. Throughout the program, you will learn from award-winning filmmakers and industry members on how to shoot, edit and create meaningful and compelling content.
Launched in 2009, as a 14-week summer institute training program that runs from May to August, DFI Summer continues to attract emerging filmmakers from across Canada and the world. The documentary and Non-Fiction Media Production program was constituted as a response to the DFI Summer’s success.
As a proud sponsor of Toronto’s Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival, DFI is excited to celebrate 10 years of storytelling at Seneca.
