About the Program

This five-day course is for IMCA-certified divers who are looking to renew their two-year certificates. The aim of this refresher course is to produce a diver medic who is equally competent as one who just completed the full diver medic course. Particular attention will be paid to advances in diving medicine and training. You will receive training in advanced first aid and basic paramedical techniques that will enable you to provide medical assistance in remote locations until emergency personnel arrives. The curriculum involves theoretical and practical training in diving physiology and the medical techniques used to treat diving emergencies involving trauma, as well as medical disorders resulting from the direct and indirect effects of pressure.
