This course provides you with an Underwater Welding Certification - UWW 101 KA, according to the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) and American Welding Society (AWS) D3.6 underwater welding standards. Currently, Seneca is the only institution in Canada offering this certification.

Skills
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to:
- demonstrate safe use of and proper setup of U/W welding stations
- produce quality U/W wet welds to achieve C.W.B. class B welding qualifications in accordance with ANSI/AWS D 3.6 specification for U/W welding, although this cannot be guaranteed
- safely perform various underwater wet welding tasks
Your Career
The course curriculum will emphasize the safety procedures and techniques used as a diver/welder, as well as topside station set up for an underwater welding operation.
Professional Certification
Successful completion of CWB witnessed test will result in class B plate certification, which is valid for one year.
