Christopher Sawchyn

Acting for Camera and Voice

“As a multi-disciplinary artist and arts educator, I believe in holistic education. I feel it’s essential to train the heart and soul of an actor, as well as the mind and body.”

Christopher’s early music theatre training started at Grant McEwan in Edmonton, followed by the Classics at George Brown College. He eventually developed comedic characters and co-created the musical sketch company The Specials. As part of several physical theatre companies, he’s travelled across the country and to West Africa, winning gold in A Flock of Flyers for the IV Jeux de la Francophonie. Recently, Christopher won Best Supporting Actor for his role as a transgendered female in Blood Empires at New York City’s Macabre Film Fest. Christopher has directed and choreographed several productions within Ontario, and written and produced his own cabaret series.
