John is a Toronto-based actor, teacher and director. As an actor he originated the role of Kyle in the world premiere of Daniel MacIvor's The Best Brothers at the Stratford Festival and at the Tarragon Theatre. He also originated the role of Nurk in MacIvor's Bingo at the Neptune Theatre in Halifax and the Factory Theatre in Toronto. John was awarded a Merritt Award for his performance in the Crucible with Two Planks and a Passion. A graduate of The Philippe Gaulier International Theatre School in Paris, John also trained, performed and taught extensively with Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Massachusetts and is now an artistic associate with reWork Productions in Toronto. He has been holding performance workshops since 2005.
