Kinmond Smith has worked as a Professor at Seneca Polytechnic since 1998, teaching in the Graphic Design, Digital Media Arts, Illustration and Interactive Media Design programs. He served as the Graphic Design Student Advisor from 2012 to 2017 and Program Co-ordinator of the Interactive Media Design program from 2017 to 2022. Since late 2022, Mr. Smith has been the Program Co-ordinator of the Graphic Design program. He graduated from the University of Toronto and has been involved in teaching for more than 35 years. He continues to run his boutique graphic design studio and volunteers his time as president of the Balmy Beach Club. A keen lover of literature with a small but substantial library of first editions, his first novel was published in the spring of 2023.
